Share the

For those that love growing their own herb gardens at home, this is just one more way you can use those aromatic leaves from your mint, lemon balm, rosemary or sage plants!

Here's another simple recipe you can try when making your own candied herbs.

Candied Herb Leaves

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 bunch mint leaves
  • Sugar

Whisk eggs whites and lime juice together until frothy.

Dip individual mint leaves in egg white and arrange on a wire rack resting in a baking sheet.

Then coat both sides of the herbs with sugar.

Bake in a 175 degree oven for 15 minutes.

Remove from oven and let rest overnight to finish drying.

Use to garnish desserts or cocktails.
