How to Grow & Harvest Borage |
When to Plant How to Plant Plant seeds ¼ to ½ inch under the soil in rows 12 inches apart. When your plants have reached 6 inches tall, thin your borage with at least 1 foot between each plant. Try sowing borage seeds every four weeks. This will ensure a ready supply of borage flowers for a continuous harvest. When to Harvest The leaves may be harvested at anytime and can be used dried or fresh. The plant is best consumed fresh, right after harvest if you're looking for it's characteristic flavor, similar to that of a cucumber.
