    1. Basil - Italian Large Leaf (1,000 seeds)     

The Italian Large Leaf Basil plant will produce medium to large leaves that can measure up to 4" long! It is of heriloom variety and is extremely fragrant and used widely in the culinary industry.  If you're a lover of basil, this would be a good variety to plant in your garden.  

Italian Large Leaf Basil is an annual plant that will produce edible and fragrant leaves, flowers, and continue to put off a few more leaves through the process of ending it's life cycle.  This basil grows well in "filtered light" (meaning near a bright window or under a tree), and it grows best in 50-90 degree weather.  Warm, but not too warm.

   
      2. Bean (Pole) - Kentucky Wonder (120 seeds)

The Kentucky Wonder pole bean is one of the oldest and most widely used varieties. It produces bright green, 8" stringless pods.  Extremely flavorful and full of plump brown seeds.

Climbs freely, produces quickly and bears until frost.
     3. Bean (Bush) - Contender (200 seeds)

One of the best bush beans - ever! This bush bean variety is excellent for short growing, cool seasons. Contender Bush Beans are 6 to 8 inches long and slightly curved.

This productive stringless variety is good for canning, freezing or eating raw directly from the garden and has a very distinctive flavor.
   4. Beet - Detroit Dark Red (250 seeds)

The most popular beet on the market. The 2 ½ to 3 inch globes.

These beets are extremely nutritious and are considered to be a “cardiovascular health” friendly root vegetables.  It also contains a significant amount of vitamin-C, one of the powerful natural antioxidant, which helps the body scavenge deleterious free radicals.
      5. Broccoli - DiCicco 29 (600 seeds)

Produces short, 24 inch plant produces medium-large heads. Withstands cold extremely well.

Broccoli is extremely high in vitamin C, as well as dietary fibers.  It is also known to contain multiple nutrients which have potent anti-cancer properties.  A single serving provides more than 30 mg of Vitamin C!
    6. Brussels Sprout - Long Island Improved (1,000 seeds)

These Brussels Sprouts are delicious! Easy to grow. Produces miniature cabbage-like heads which are extremely tasty and nutritious.

Brussels sprouts are an extremely nutritious vegetable that provides protection from vitamin A deficiency, bone loss, iron deficiency anemia, and is also believed to protect from cardiovascular diseases and, colon and prostate cancers.
   
7. Cabbage - Golden Acre (850 seeds)

Recommended by USU. A slow bolting, vigorous, early cabbage with 5 to 6 inch round head.

Cabbage is an excellent source of vitamin C. It also contains significant amounts of glutamine, an amino acid that has anti-inflammatory properties.
    8. Carrot - Little Finger (3,000 seeds)

Very early maturing carrot. Only 55 days to maturity! Tender, sweet midget variety can be densely planted.

One carrot is packed with many vitamins and nutrients that promote fat loss and optimal health.
   
9. Cilantro (Coriander) - Slow Bolt (490 seeds)

This slow-bolting strain is grown primarily for its broad, deep green, celery-like, pungent foliage. Used in Oriental and Mexican cuisine. Use seed to flavor meats, pickles and baked goods.
     10. Cucumber - Straight 8 (200 seeds)

The Straight Eight cucumber variety is a popular heirloom type of cucumber ideal for slicing and/or for eating fresh right off the vine.

11. Cucumber - Marketer (120 seeds)

The Marketer is a 1943 All-America Selections (AAS) Winner!  Produces extremely flavorful 9" long dark green cucumbers. Excellent for slicing and salads. Suitable for home gardens and market growers.
   
      12. Kale - Blue Curled Scotch (1,200 seeds)

The Blue Curled Scotch is an early Kale variety which will produce tasty greens!  Excellent in salads or steamed.  The blue-green leaves are finely curled and reach up to 12-15" in high!

Extremely cold hardy. One of the best frost resistant kale varieties available.
 
13. Lettuce - Gourmet Mesclun Mix (1,300 seeds)

Extremely easy to grow! A mixture of your favorite lettuce varieties from across the spectrum of lettuce types.

Lettuce is a low calorie food and is a source of vitamin A and folic acid.

19. Pepper (SWEET!) - California Wonder (240 seeds)


Large yields of blocky, mostly 4 lobed, thick-walled fruit that is mild and sweet.

One large bell pepper contains 209 mg of vitamin C, which is almost three times the 70 mg of an average orange.
 
20. Spinach - Nobel Giant (500 seeds)


Extremely delicious and one of the most popular spinach varieties you can grow in your garden.  Extremely easy to grow.

Spinach has a high nutritional value and is extremely rich in antioxidants, especially when fresh, steamed, or quickly boiled.
  21. Squash (Summer) - Black Beauty (100 seeds)

AAS Winner.  The Black Beauty Squash is one of the most popular varieties on the market.  Produces a dark green, glossy fruit, which is long, straight & slender. They are firm, very tender, have excellent flavor.

25. Watermelon - Sugarbaby (75 seeds)
