Now that we are well into summer, it doesn't mean you cannot have a lush and productive home garden. In fact, whether you're getting a late start or you're just ready to rotate your spring crops out for something new...the warmer weather and planting NOW has it's advantages. You might even find that your herbs and veggies will do even better with the warm soil temperatures! You can count on faster germination & quick growth, especially if you're planting in June, July or even August.
Here are some of our favorite heat loving vegetables!
Beans, Carrots, Summer Squash, Melons, Peppers (HOT or SWEET), Okra, Eggplant, & Tomatoes.
Don't forget to grow a culinary herb garden with these herbs that thrive in warmer temps!
Lemon Grass, Sage, Thyme, Lemon Balm, Rosemary, Tarragon & Basil.
